Strange days at the Edge

Post by rolfr » Wed Feb 02, 2011 11:37 am

I just became aware that Andrew Wilson's employment was terminated at the Edge, apparently not of his choice.

What ever your thoughts on indoor climbing are, Andrew is the driving force behind the internationally respect of the junior team. He has mentored some incredible talent, Sean McColl ,Will Stanhope and so many other gifted climbers, that the list is too numerous to mention here. Andrew’s contribution spans generations of climbers and I hope he still remains active in Competition Climbing Canada.

I don’t expect any response from at the Edge, since it is probably a business decision, I just wanted to express my respect for a vital member of our community. To quote a friend “ the Edge is just a bunch of climbing holds without Andrew” :(

Hmmm... as of yesterday the Facebook Edge Climbing group was still co-administered by Andrew. Might be a good place to air his side of the story?
