Weather Q?
I'm flying into Vancouver for business and was hoping to climb Wed - wondering what people thought of the idea with the current forecast?
Cheers

Weather Q?
hope so!
Tuesday looks a bit wet but Wed looks nice but cool - any advice getting to Banana Peel? I land at 9:00 so dont imagine we'll get there before 11:00 - be nice to at least run up the Apron/Trotters new route (been a while since I climbed granite)

By the time you get here we may have seen upwards of 250mm of rain within the last 5-7 days. Seepage may be an issue on Trotters route and cracks but Banana Peel may be good to go. Depends on if rain ends over night tuesday or wednesday morn. But I would not set my sights on climbing, cause here they cant forecast what color underwear they will wear to work the next day. Enjoy your stay
When in doubt....run it out!!!!

climbing wed?
thanks all - any advice on routes if everything is dripping. I don't think we'll touch rock until at least 10-11AM
highly doubtful considering its around 160mm nowBy the time you get here we may have seen upwards of 250mm of rain within the last 5-7 days.
Actually the weather looks pretty spectacular mid weekDepends on if rain ends over night tuesday or wednesday morn. But I would not set my sights on climbing,
i would go to the Penny Lane area, or burgers and fries. By mid-aft you miught even be able to run over to the Apron.

For someone that is appearantly a stickler for details, you may want to see the use of the word "might" in my post.J Mace wrote:highly doubtful considering its around 160mm nowBy the time you get here we may have seen upwards of 250mm of rain within the last 5-7 days.

And to the OP, the good weather looks like it is coming today so as Hari said, hit the bluffs first then see how things are drying.
