Falcons on the Chief

Post by smallman » Thu Apr 09, 2009 8:50 am

Was wondering if anyone knows if the falcons have arrived back yet on the Chief. I was hoping to do Europa in the near future and wondering if it is off limits yet?

Don't know about the falcons, but my guess is you'll find the route very wet for some time to come

I'm sure you can do a check on this site but I thought it was closer to May or June that the closure started

Europa is basically adjacent to Crap Crags. But the closure depends on when and if falcons are spotted nesting. Thanks for the info though. Maybe BC parks has something on their website.

climbed Europa last year - not your typical 'easiest route up".

chimneying, some loose and blocky stuff, and akwardness

definitely not a beginner's route, despite the grade
