After many great years of driving around in my Forester, I'm finally replacing it (with another Forester of course). I've taken great care of it, and if you look after it, it'll serve you well. It's great for the logging roads and is fantastic in the snow.
2001 Subaru Forester (I'm the only owner and it's never been in any type of accident)
6 CD/FM/AM stereo
Heated side mirrors
Heated wiper blades
Engine block heater
Alarm and power locks
Rear differential is a limited slip
Running a great set of Goodyear Tripletreads and I'll throw in the snow tires.
What you should know:
As with just about every Subaru of this vintage, the engine head gaskets will need to be replaced at some point soon. It hasn't been a problem yet, but you'll want to do it before too long. The Subaru dealership near my place quoted me $1800 to do the work, but you can get it cheaper if you get it done somewhere else.
