The Distillery Topo (new sport routes)

Post by enchanted » Mon Sep 22, 2014 6:18 pm

Hi Everyone,
Here is a link to a topo for The Distillery, a new crag on the trail to the Pillary at Area 44. The topo was put together in collaboration with the good folks at Blurr. Have a little look around their new website while your there. If you visit the crag please chime in on the grades by posting here. Hope you enjoy.
Jack.

Hi folks Stu Smith and myself repeated all the routes this week. Some off the grades in our opinion where out !! A little. Stu on sighted all the hard routes,I tried to climb the 5.10s 5.9s etc ,but it didn't happen ! The crag is stacked every climb is worth doing , be aware though the clips can be hard for shorter folks and the girdle is serious for the second !! Here's our thoughts on the grades .
1. Over Proof Roof 5.12a
2. Distill My Heart 5.9
3. Liqueur Quicker 5.10a
4. Single Malt 5.11a
5. Whiskey Burning 5.12 a/b
6. Moonshine Blind 5.11d
7. Daze Of Proibition 5.11d
8. Yer Picks Your Posion 5.11d
9 Rum Runners 5.9
10. Still The Spirits 5.11b
11. Cask It 5.10 a/b
12 Short Glass,Long Pour 5.10c
Awesome climbs! Go climb them, it's real easy to set up top ropes cheers Hevy.

Hi Heavy,
Yeah, I should have gone with my gut for the grades but I hadn't really been climbing routes much and asked a couple of strong friends for their opinions on the grades and they said they were easier than I thought they were. I figured I was just weak. Anyway, glad you liked them. Thanks for commenting and correcting the numbers.
J.
