I don't know how to upload an image to this site. Hmm... Well it's on supertopo here if you want to see it. http://www.supertopo.com/inc/photo_view ... 80OTw5KSIk

We actually climbed the corner to the left when doing the FA as well but did not clean it, choosing to put our route up the easier to clean 10d enduro fingers/bombay chimney instead. We thought it was about 11a, so I guess that was the Gauntlet's 11a pitch. We also climbed to Trichome ledge following a bunch of cracks directly above the 12b pitch, but we never recorded the details.

relic, can you link the Facade/Simian Response .10d pitch into the Gauntlet, without going up the .12b second pitch?

Ya I am pretty sure you can. I haven't been on Simian Response since 2005 so my memory of it is kinda cloudy. The 11a Gauntlet pitch was right beside it if I remember correctly.

The Gauntlet/Mad Nerd and Poodle (aka the Facade) are currently undergoing warranty, this work will make both these routes even better than they were, there are fixed ropes in the way of the climbing so both lines are out of commission for the next little while. These fixed ropes are not a mini traxion line open to the public, please stay off.

Thanks for all the hard work Colin de-shrubbing the ramp and cleaning the brains of the route. It should be a spectacular area to climb when all is done. Mad Nerd and Poodle is a way better name than the Facade btw. Andreas's muppet poodle Chocolate has passed on but the legend lives on!
