Name suggestion for the route

Post by Yoyo » Tue Jun 22, 2004 10:41 pm

"Mountain King"
(says so on the concrete slab at the base-- you could pretend you poured this perfect belay slab and put the name on it). Thanks for the route!

We got on Highway To The Danger Zone today and;

yeah still dirty, some loose rock (be careful),

I'd say all of 11d,

I'd really like to see a bolt low, just off the belay ledge so I don't come crashing down an extra 20 feet onto the trail with my belayer right behind me.

Our 70 meter rope had 2 meters left when we touched the ground,

I loved the route. A lot of bang for the buck. 8)

to do this route do you first climb the old 10c (Campfire Vamp) and then carry on above?

New Route on Shoot To Kill Wall

Post by dakine » Tue Jul 13, 2004 1:40 pm

Hey Meingh,
I love your route javascript:emoticon, but think there should have another bolt at the start there is potenal for a bad fall for the climber and the belayer.

Loose rock !!!

Post by dakine » Sun Jul 25, 2004 8:28 pm

Got on this great route again, still love it!
be careful tho it's got a lot of loose rock midway up I pulled of a big chunk just past the first crux ( missed my belayer ) fell and knocked a 2 foot square piece off that almost nailed our buddy from Victoria
Grade wise? 11b/c
