2 New Routes at Rogues

Post by kirk » Mon Jun 04, 2007 9:36 am

Just wanted to report 2 new routes we put up last summer at rogues, I didn't get around to the final clean till the end of the season because of all of the highway closures, etc

Both routes are on the wall left of the slammer. Direct sun in the PM. You can see this wall if you look directly up from the parking.

Left side route: BumbleBee 5.8 or so, 6 bolts and chains, 20m approx
(Sean Steins, Kirk Paterson, Andre Munck)

Right side route: Tunafish - Maybe 11a, *6 bolts and anchors, 22m
(Kirk Paterson, Andre Munck)
*there is a mantle after bolt # 3 and possibility of heel catch on rope if you're not careful and fall here, i'm considering putting an extra bolt to protect this -- feed back would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone has climbed these routes let me know about the grades. Thanks

climbed these routes a couple months back and feel the grades are about right. i don't recall having concerns with the heel catching the rope.
