I found this on gripped and thought everyone should know!
Someone wrote the following.....
Reward for any info leading to the identification and beating of the person(s) that tampered with a fixed rope at Nordic Rock in Whistler.
On April 21, 2004 I returned to a project and found my fixed rope had been tampered with at the anchor.
The person(s) cut through most of the core of one side of the anchor leaving enough that would break under load thereby shock loading the other half of the anchor.
Fortunately I checked the anchor before jugging and found the rope in that condition.
The person(s) were likely not climbers, but any leads would be worth looking into.
Remember check your fixed lines before you jug!!
