New Delhi Cliff
New Delhi Cliff
2, multi pitch crack climbs have been completed so far on a new wall located left of the Barbarian wall and right of Top Shelf.
Approach as for Top Shelf for 15 min then heading right where trail forks. The area is still under development so take precautions. Routes so far go as followed.. see attached rough topo.
A. The Ganges" 5 pitch 11c
Pitch 1. 5.9 Follow corner to a nice ledge below over hanging corner
Pitch 2. 5.11a start on arching splitter face crack that leads to a undercling move around block. We stopped and built a gear anchor above the block to reduce rope drag for the next pitch.
Pitch 3. 5.11c Layback this airy overhanging section on good finger locks and good protection to a final tricky section protected with a bolt.
Pitch 4. 10d Stem this long pitch to a tricky exit move.
Pitch 5. 11c "The Pitch in the Woods" This pitch is separate from the wall but its a must do.
F.A. Harry Young, Jason Green May,16 2015
Rack: SR to 5inch, 2x .75 and #1 Camelot's
3 60m rappels
B. "Road to Amritsar" 6 pitch 11c
Pitch 1. 5.11a Climb a steep corner that turns to finger locks, clip anchor then continue up easier ground to a large ledge where the next pitch starts at the right side of ledge.
Pitch 2. 5.11c aka "Turning Green" pitch. Stem up this classic corner up to a hanging chimney (crux) pull through a small roof to bolted belay.
Pitch 3. 5.10d Stem up to a undercling section turn the corner to wide hand jams.
Pitch 4. 5.11b Great pitch with thin hands and a steep finish up to a nice ledge.
Pitch 5. 5.9 Fist jam up this short pitch to "The pitch in the woods"
Pitch 6. 5.11c pumpy jamming up to a committing crux. Must do pitch, you will not be disappointed.
Rack: Double's to 3', x3 .75

Re: New Delhi Cliff
Possibly the best new multi pitch in Squamish, sustained, exposed, all natural, overhung and amazingly clean!
Huge effort by the FA crew! Muchas gracias

Sweet ... I got my first Squamishclimbing.com post "like"
Re: New Delhi Cliff
Another addition to New Delhi Cliff. "Delhi Belly" 5 pitches 12b... Follows a series of vertical cracks, corners, flakes to a prominent roof traverse at the top of the cliff. Go to quickdraw publications for topo.
