Another new route at The Crest

Post by bike » Fri Aug 13, 2004 7:55 am

Another new route at the Crest on the ledge on the left side. To the far right. Marked on a small stone at the bottom. It is split in two due to inconsinsistant grade. I put a set of anchors 25 feet up and at the top.
First half goes 5.10c /4 bolts
Second half goes 5.8 /4 bolts
There will be a future link-up with the 5.8 to MOMD
Route is called "Serenity Now"

I did the 10c after Marc.
It's fun!
Good job again, Marc

For the record, when did we decide that slab routes were covered in this bulletin board? Just kidding. Nice work Marc.

As far as I'm concerned, all the routes at Fat Camp are Slab. All posts covering Fat Camp should be deleted due to the "Slab" factor. And, by the way, is route setter of the Fat Camp routes a bit short of cash. It seems he's been using the prize quicklinks from Cracker Jack boxes for his anchors. Ummm, seriously Pete, they look a bit small. Seeing as I'm not doing any route setting maybe I could at least change those links and pick up a dozen extra for you?

They're 5/16th's as far as I understand and that's WAY more than you'll ever need. Most of the chain around now is 5/16ths as well.

I don't know Peter. They looked pretty small.
