Cleaning Advisory: Middle Caramba Terrace-- Sun 30 May

Post by harihari » Fri May 28, 2010 6:15 pm

There will be cleaning on the middle of Caramba Terrace on Sunday May 9. Anticipate minor rockfall. If you are doing the Ultimate everything, Upper Echelon, etc, please approach from Apron or South Gully. Here is a picture of where we are working.

If you are passing by, just yell up at us; we can stop cleaning while you pass. This cleaning will NOT affect any North Wall or Badge routes or approaches, and will not affect any bouldering. I am hoping we will finish construction this weekend...thanks to everybody for your patience.

An 18 pitch 5.11-(A0)/5.12B free route is in the works. Follow the fun at

OK, we are done the rock-trundling etc. There will be no more danger yadda yadda, so if you want to die, please don't walk under our (potential) route, which will fail miserably in killing you. (If you want to die, your best bet right now is to go to Burgers and Fries on a Saturday, and have a cigarette...either the cancer, or the withering stares of the prisses, will get you).

Stay tuned-- we are almost done the work part of our route, and we hope to have the damned thing climbable sometime later this summer.

Hello,

I'm brand new to this forum.
John Howe told me there was a post here about people cleaning to the right of the Badge. Whoever those guys are almost killed me and Jia last year. Closest call I've had in over ten years. I walk that trail frequently, so do others.
If we don't know about this post how will we know not to walk under the wall?
I think whoever is behind this is behaving in an irresponsible and potentially criminal way. If you don't have sentries (with radios) posted it doesn't work.
I'm inclined to complain to BC Parks and the RCMP.
Get your sh*t together cause now I know where to find you.

Hi Perry and others-- work is done. No more rockfall. We have two old spindly trees to chop (they will quite literally float down the cliff) and some brush-scrubbing to do. Perry, I PMed you. Stay tuned, we are hoping to have the route ready to go mid-summer.
