Found: Water bottle along Apron to campsite trail

Post by NateDoggOG » Tue Dec 13, 2011 4:34 pm

Went bouldering this past Saturday for the first time with some friends. Found a stickered up aluminum water bottle on the trail just off the Chief viewpoint parking lot. There was a decal for a gym or shop in Seattle, so I am assuming that the owner is from that area.
I originally thought that it may have fallen off a backpack or something, but closer inspection revealed a crack in the bottom of the bottle, leading me to believe it was discarded on purpose.

I did what apparently was too difficult for the owner and left it in a garbage can.

If you have garbage, either put it in the designated trash bin (there are plenty around) or leave it in your own country. Dunno how they operate where you climb, but here we try to keep sh*t clean. I've come to expect this from the many tourists in the area over the summer, but as a climbers ourselves, we have no excuse.

Protip: Would you as a guest in another persons house leave a mess and not try to clean up after yourself? Didn't think so. Extend to us the same courtesy please.
