Gear Anchor on Calculus Crack

Post by serac » Mon Jun 27, 2011 9:47 am

A climber was injured on Calculus Crack and was forced to leave their gear anchor at the top of the third pitch. If it is recovered please return to Climb On so he can pick it up.

So beer or other liquids maybe slack your thirst when the gear returns.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and getting back the gear. Injured climbers' gear is not booty IMO.
What happened up there? Pulled gear?

thanks

Happily foot hand jamming away a little slip and twist followed by a loud "pop" from the tendon in his ankle blowing apart. Not very dramatic but it still ends the climb as the same as an epic whipper. At least he wasn't soloing.
