I'm moving down to the Sechelt-Roberts Creek-Gibsons axis in Januay for a new job.. haven't quite settled on which community yet. Are there any local climbers about? The rock pickings seem slim but trips up to Powell River or across to Vancouver side would be the probable solution.
Been at it for 11/12 years, generally climbing mid-10s. Have rack etc, decent 4x4 for the more involved approaches. Powell River looks great & would be the #1 destination... if on the other side would prefer to avoid the Apron/Smoke Bluffs kind of routes.. not a snob, just climbed there enough times. Good for 10-15 days a year & the missus would probably want to come along every so often to top-rope or just hang out.
I like my alpine as well. Anyhoo anybody know of any other sites I can spam with my lonely hearts missive? Rockclimbing.com, others?
