climbing partners for the summer
Hello out there,
I’m from Montreal and will be spending some time in Vancouver this summer. I wanted to make it out to Squamish for one or two trips of a few days to do some climbing. I do sport climbing and bouldering and climb roughly in the 5.7-5.10b/v1-v3 range, though I do have access to a gym so I may have improved a bit by the time I arrive. I was wondering if anyone would wanna join me/show me the ropes (ha). I can lead, belay and clean no problem, I just don’t know anybody who climbs from the area and would like to be shown around. Granted, I can buy a guidebook but that still leaves me without a belay buddy/crash pad plus climbing is more fun in pairs/groups.
I’m a pretty relaxed guy, 21. I get along with just about everyone. I have a harness, shoes and ATC but I probably won’t bring my quickdraws or rope with me (I’ll let you know). I’ll be flexible for time in Vancouver as I’ll just be staying with a friend (who doesn’t climb) and probably won’t be working. I’m good with camping, accomodation-wise. If you have something else in mind it will just depend on how much it costs and how much money I will have left at that time, but in principle I’m open to it. I can chip in for food and gas of course.
I’ll be in the area from the end of June until the beginning of August.
Looking forward to hearing from/climbing with y’all!
