Climbing partner 16th to 27th of july 2010

Post by Mari » Mon Jun 21, 2010 11:55 pm

Hi!

I'm moving to Canada from Norway and I'm planning to spend a few days in Squamish this July. I've climbed for around a year but not too much, nothing very hard (up to 5.9). I've done a lot of different climbing though, and would be in for bouldering, trad, sport, whatever. I'd be especially happy if someone with a bit more experience than me would like to take out on several rope lengths.

I'm not bringing too much equipment over the atlantic, so if you have a rack, that would be great. Otherwise I guess it's easy to get over there.

Hope to see you:)
Mari

Hi Mari,
Give me a shout when you will be showing up if you are still looking for a partner to climb with. I am in vancouver visiting my sister but go up to squamish when the weather is good. I have been getting to know the area well and will be here for a couple of more weeks.
cheers,
pete

Hi Mari! Perhaps I can help, a bit anyway. And maybe practice my Norwegian a bit, too. Are you moving to Vancouver/Canada permanently, or just for a holiday?

I tried to send you a "private message" using the forum's service, but am not sure if it worked. It's not a very obvious way to do things. Send me a note, etc etc.

Anders, I got your message! Will gladly exchange norwegian for climbing!

Pete, that sounds great, I'll probably be in Squamish by the evening the 15th, then some practical stuff to sort out, then ready to climb.

Are you two going to the mountain festival?
I'll give you a shout when I'm there:)

Can't wait to get out!

Yes, there's a good chance I'll be at some of the mountain festival, at least the evening speakers and films. It's usually not hard to find people.
