Partner for cragging, long routes and other good fun

Post by avit » Tue Jul 07, 2009 4:26 am

Hi all,

I'm a Squamish local, I used to climb a lot more, but after a few years taking it easy I'm getting psyched to get out there again. It's been a while since I pushed my limits... I've mostly been TR'ing with my kids lately but I can still lead easier 5.10 off the couch (I'm still young, I think!), and I'm always happy to be climbing whatever the grade.

I really enjoy long routes. On the home turf I've done Angel's Crest, Millennium Falcon, the Grand Wall (led the Pillar; seconded the Sword), Ultimate Everything, Rock On to the Buttress, Birds of Prey, Centrefold, and countless routes on the Apron... that's my kind of stuff.

I like to sport climb for the workout too. Even though I prefer natural lines, it's all fun. Bouldering too, even though I always sucked at it... call me if you're cool with someone who flails on V2.

My older daughter is almost 10 and has been cragging with us since she was little. She's getting really stoked on climbing this year, so it would be cool to get to know some families with kids who climb, too.

I have a rope & rack, and my schedule is somewhat flexible. Get in touch: 892-2284 or message me on the forum here.

Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
im up here from minnesota for a couple more weeks and am looking for someone to go to climb at squamish with. I would love to do some multi pitch sport routes. Im not all that interested in pushing grades on this trip just looking to enjoy some climbing. I have been climbing for 6 years and primarily do TR and Sport at home. There is not a lot (any?) multi pitch in minnesota for lack of mountains so I would really like to do something on the easy side (5.8-5.9). Since I am up here for work, I wasn't able to bring my sport rack or any pro so all I've got is a harness and my shoes. Let me know if you would like to know more about me or if you would like to get out sometime in the next two weeks or do. Saturdays are best for me.

Cheers,

Raphael

Hi Andrew and Raphael (and anyone else who reads this)

I have a few days free this week - I am on my way to see a friend in the gulf islands - am driving up from Idaho

I am a semi retired fit trad climber - leads up to 5.10 - likes all climbing esp longer multi pitch - dislikes mosquitoes -

have van and kit

a day or two at squamish mid week would be cool - am mobile so other venues also possible

PM me if interested or txt or ring 0n 702 --- 606 3701
