Squamish Climbing Partner, 9/13 - 9/20

Post by tomfallen » Fri Sep 12, 2008 11:35 am

Hi-

I'm visiting Squamish from California, and looking for climbing partners. I'm interested in all types of climbing (except aid), though some multipitch trad would be best.

I have a rack, (C4s, .4 - #3 with some doubles, nuts) though it seems to be a bit short on small cams for Squamish. I also have a rope, and a car. I'm staying in Squamish.

I'm comfortable leading about 5.7 on gear, 5.9 on bolted slab, and mid 10s on bolted face. I can probably follow 10a cracks or slab, 11a face. I have some multipitch experience.

My schedule is quite free. Let's take advantage of this beautiful weather. Email me tom f allen (at) yahoo, but remove the spaces and replace the (at).

Climbing partners for Monday - Wednesday (Sept. 15-17)

Hey Tom,

I'll be at the campground tonight (Sunday). Find me with long-ish red hair and a beige/red MSR tent. Probably around site 69 by the Spaniards (east of the kitchen shelter).

Sounds like I lead harder than you but we follow at similar grades. I don't have a rack so am at the whim of any equipped partners that I can find. Preference to Murin Park on hot days and the Chief elsewise. Am hoping to polish off the Grand Wall on Tuesday or Wednesday. Thursday I head back to Vancouver for a concert and a rest day or two.

If you don't find me, call or text me at 778.836.9683.

Hope you're enjoying the rock!
