What climb/area is Rolf (sp.?) climbing

Saw an ad on t.v. today of one of our local climbers. I can not figure out where the footage was shot. Is it in our area? I believe it was for a pharma-save.

Just curious.

If I remember correctly, they set a new route, climbed/filmed it and then removed the bolts. Pretty sure it was local and I don't think Rolf liked the route.

Yup. Just what 5.4 said. The route was only bolted for the commercial. It was totally dirty and constantly wet. Rolf has the only asscent.

Since i have the only ascent i let one of the crew name the route.
"Corporate Shitpile " 5.10a (wet and dirty) . A classic climb if you are a mad Englishman. You can top rope it off the fence if you must. Climb when the spillway is fully open to get the most gut wrenching effect and vibration off the wall. Look for the pounded in bolts to locate the line.

Well I figured that was cap canyon but assumed it must have been on the only established route that I know of. That 11- trad line put up by Barley that doesn't look to take alot of pro. Was pretty impressed with Rolf looking so relaxed on what I deemed to be a somewhat desperate route (what with all the lichen, river spray and thin pro).

Either way a pretty cool comercial - especially for wallmart.
