Camping at Stawamus chief park: Offseason

Post by tattooed_climber » Thu Feb 16, 2006 5:31 pm

The hostel is now too rich for my blood

and while i was cruising the BC parks website, i noticed it says "Offseason: no fees, no service"....hem, does this mean one can camp there prefectly free? :P :D

i always thought, no camping offseason.....it "opens" may 1st..... and i personally don't like any of the other private camp sites

can someone verify this?

sh*t, i can't find their (bc parks) phone number

but i re-read stuff off of the website and by putting two and two together:
This park has winter camping opportunities; however, the gates are locked in the winter, so camping is walk-in only and no services are provided.
+
Campground Dates with Full Services and Fees: May 1 - September 30
Off-season: walk-in from gate; no fee, no services

what the f**k, i'll go ahead and camp there.......and if i'm not suppost to be there, it won't be the first time i had to talk my way out of sh*t with bc parks staff

I've seen people camping there in the winter...not a problem.
