The perfect rack!
The perfect rack!
No, I'm not talking about that girl in the parking lot.
I want to start putting together a rack and am looking for some ideas. Squamish will be my primary destination to start with. What would you have in your perfect rack? Don't worry about price. I'm looking for makes, models, sizes and quantities of cams, nuts, slings, biners, ropes, etc...

GO FECK YOURSELF!!!!! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY CLIMBER IN POCO!!!
i assume youre talking about a good rack for squish...and what?craggin or multi-pitch?
hummmm...perfect????
...the whole mid range of aliens
.5 to #3 Camalots (at least doubles of #2 and #1)
set of nuts (they're all the same)
12 trad draws
2 double length slings
wire biners for all
extra lockers and wire gates
(<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<this would be a basic rack IMO)
i personally wouldn't bother to buy the uber thin shoe lace runners (on sight now makes em)...aim for 10mm dyneema i say
thats enough to get you up almost anything....
thats my rack (minus my C4 #4 and Big Bro #4, micro nuts, and afew draws and half of my nut/hex collection) i can do anything with that rack...an extra #3 maybe....but my partner has a rack about the same size with just about the same stuff...
i suggest against buying this all in one shot....borrow buddies rack, or just climb with straighers and get a feel for other gear.....there's lots of good gear out there, and "Best" is always an opinion
