Top Rope Area, Walk Up Anchors?
Top Rope Area, Walk Up Anchors?
Hey Friends,
Visiting the Squamish area with family. Do you know of any Top Rope sites that have an easy walk up to anchors, no lead climbing to anchors, short routes so newbies can do a few laps on the rock?
Thanks much for your help!
Steve

There is the ever-popular Sugarloaf crag at Murrin Park, which has a very short approach and decent but sustained climbs, mix of crack and face climbing, or the newer Playground Crag (http://quickdrawpublications.com/wp/wp- ... 20Crag.pdf), which should be less crowded, and is all face climbing which kids seem to prefer. If Sugarloaf is a gong show then head to Playground.
Both also have a few harder (5.10 and up) climbs for the parents to enjoy when the kids lose interest...and also lots of bouldering around which my girls seem to prefer anyway.
Hope this is not too late - good luck!
