New climbers campground before council
Received this message from John Harvey. A turnout of climbers at council will help push this along.
The Mamquam River Access Society (MRAS) is rezoning industrial lands
in Squamish to allow building a non-profit campground beside the
beautiful Mamquam River. The Rezoning Public Hearing is next Tues, Feb
2nd at 6:30 PM in Municipal Hall.
As a Non-profit we hope to create an affordable tenting campground,
with both walk-in and drive-in sites. We're aiming for $15/site/night.
We have to fundraise about $100,000. to make it happen and hope that
all recreationalists can support this vision. MRAS, Box 3530,
