Bouldering in Squamish (July-August)

Post by TomWojtk » Tue May 26, 2015 11:56 am

Hi all,

I'm going to be driving over to Squamish for the months of July and August and was wondering how the bouldering (mostly the Grand Wall Boulders) was during that time of year?

I know its the warmest and driest time but how hot is it? Is it super humid?
I've seen the temp graphs but I'd like to get a locals perspective on how it is/feels.

Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi,

July/Aug is a good time to visit. As you said, generally driest!!
Rarely does it get very humid here. Yes it can get warm (for a Canadian), mid to high 20's (celsius) is the norm for that time, but many of the boulders are in the forest and therefore shaded. Plan on morning starts and I'm sure you will have a great time.

Cheers,

Matt
