Awesome sh*t - at the Smoke Bluffs

Post by squamish climber » Wed May 28, 2014 11:01 am

Smoke Bluffs Park is getting a vermicomposting toilet. These outhouses are supposed to be odourless and enviro friendly. If you have had the unfortunate need to use the current porta potty, this is a huge improvement.

Thanks to MEC, Toilet Tech Solutions and the District of Squamish for funding this project. Completion date is end of June.

Hi:

The new outhouse in the smoke bluffs is great...but yesterday morning it was completely out of toilet paper. Is there anyone keeping an eye on this? If not, I'll try to remember to bring a few rolls with me during our next visit. We had another fun family climbing day yesterday, doing the 5.7 -.5.9 short cracks near the (shaded) picnic tables, before moving on to other crags.

cheers,
Steve
