Heads Up - Loose Bolt on Freeway Anchor

Post by NateDoggOG » Mon Sep 03, 2012 11:12 am

Climbed the first two pitches of Freeway yesterday..... failed to bring a second rope, so decided against continuing up.
Anyways, at the bolted station at the top of the first pitch there, the bolt on the right is loose. Not like the nut is loose, but the bolt actually wiggles a bit in the rock.
I don't have the means or the know-how to fix it, otherwise I would, but just so anyone who might be attempting that route knows about it.

Just keep you weight low and don’t pull out too hard. You should be fine

You didn't keep climbing because you only had one rope?

Sure that was the reason?....;)

Why didn't you go back down and get another? I thought you only climbed on a single anyway....

Just poking ya spraythan!
