Car break in at Chek

Post by squamish climber » Tue May 29, 2012 7:56 am

Climbers' Access Society of BC sent out an email yesterday:
There has been a recent report of a car break in at Chek. This is worth mentioning as it occurred at the "middle" parking lot which is only 100m or so below the busy upper parking area. As always, make sure you don't leave valuables in your car!

Thank you for your continued support!

Cheers,
Climbers' Access Society of BC
I was wondering if the crime/theft rate at climbing areas is going up or down around Squamish. Anybody have any anecdotal evidence?

Never trust a sport climber
Imaging how much funner this could be with booze and explosives

There always seem to be somewhat sketchy-looking individuals camped at Chek these days...

I met some impressive sport dirt bags in El Potrero Chico. One had not worked in 3 years. That is dirtbagging!.

Leave some spent shotgun shells on your dash. Works like a charm ;)
