Squamish is set to rock this weekend
Unless you live under a rock in Squamish everyone there knows Live at Squamish, the huge music festival rolls into town starting Friday night.
This is the second year for the festival. Last summer, it was was one of the few success stories for the music fest biz. And there has been a lot more hype this year, plus with headline bands like Weezer, Metric and Kyprios and 20 more -- the crowds are going to be big. That means gas, food and lodging services are scarce. I called Squamish Tourism today and they tell me virtually all hotels and campgrounds are fully booked. They're going to email me later today with any updates / availability.
So, if you are heading up for the weekend from Vancouver or Seattle and plan on camping, you may have to head up a FSR.
Also be aware, the festival is taking place at the Logger Sports Fair Grounds, just up the road from the Smoke Bluffs Park parking, be prepared for crowds in that area.
BTW tickets are still available from the Adventure Centre $90 for a one day pass or $130 for the two days.
