Camalot trigger repair

Post by Marty » Tue May 11, 2010 9:19 pm

Hey,

So on the weekend I had a trigger wire break on a 0.3 old-style single stem camalot. What broke is the solid wire that connects to the cam lobe. Is there anywhere in the Vancouver/Squamish area that can fix this? Otherwise, does anyone know of anyone that can fix this? And barring that, does anyone have tips on fixing it?

Cheers,
Marty

Dan at Climb-On in Squamish fixes trigger wires on cams for a good price and about 70 to 80 % of his business is 0.3 camalots. Get metolius cams in the smaller sizes. Way more durable.

MEC sells trigger wire kits for camalots. You can fix it yourself pretty easily.

You can also easily fix it yourself with a pair of pliers and some stiff wire if you don't want to spend $$.
