What is your your preferred self belay technique for big wall solo aid. clove? soloist? silent partner? modified grigri? or other.I have used most of the above ways and now I am just looking to hear other opinions thanks.
Take your chance while you still got a choice.

I'd say that the modded Gri Gri is the way to go. It seems to be the most versatile of the bunch. Easy lower off's and pendulum's, easy (if you're smooth no hands) feeding of slack, small size (unlike the Silent Partner), will hold an upside down fall (unlike the Soloist), cheap, easy to unload(unlike clove hitches). Do a search on rc.com or supertaco for extensive discussions on solo belay systems.
