Gear in Wet Crack

Post by Charlie » Sat May 17, 2008 8:54 pm

I had the interesting experience of climbing Deidre on Friday with wet holds. The thought occurred to me after wards what the likely hood might be of the water in the crack affecting the gear placements.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

I find my cams need lubing way more often when I climb in the rain.

o sorry, you were talking about the effect on the placment, well i've fallen on a few very wet and slimy placements and they held! I don't think it does much.
