That discription could be a great many climbers. I've sure smelt that strange odour up there on a hot day!

There have been a couple sasquatch sightings in the Cheakamus Canyon area going back to 1965. Apparently Bigfoot must be a trad climber. I would guess he was sending routes at the Starvation Lake Crags with Culbert et al in the 60s. with his build I guess he probably rocked at offwidth and sucked at finger cracks.

we're both real, Big Foot gives me belays sometimes when nobody else wants to go to chek with me, he sucks at dynamic belays though.

The 2005 sighting was probably Gary Foster looking for climbable rock. When he heard people coming up the road, he probably took them as competitor route setters and tried to scare them off.

But really, whose to say for sure. If there is a Bigfoot living up in the Chek Canyon, he doesn't seem to mind dirt bag rock climbers. Probably can smell us a mile away.

You would't know that from his very out going personality
