Via Ferrata in Whistler??

Post by Brendan » Thu Oct 12, 2006 10:29 am

does anybody have any info on the Via Ferrata at the top of Whistler Mtn.?? i have read up on it on whistlerguides, but was wondering if it is open to the public, like rock climbing? or if you can only ascend w/ a guide?

looks like an awesome adventure deriving from the 'old country' and a fun thing to do to get the g/f into the exposure of climbing!!

that's what i thought! it's gonna cost $180/person after tax by the time one purchases lift tickets and the 4 hr via ferrata tour!!

i could always take my g/f climbing up something easy in squamish for free, but then i'd be stuck behind a bunch of gumbies learning to lead, wishing i'd just taken her on this adventure! plus, i'm sure the view's are far superior to that of squamish?
