Well, to be clear, I was not measuring shear strengths/bolt fatigue or anything like that...I was more looking for dubious tat and missing/loose hangers.

I stopped checking in 2001 though, but I'm sure like most experienced climbers, you take the risk and responsibility for your own safety.
