Who's been cutting trees?
Not sure exactly what trees tattooed is so choked about but last time I was in the bluffs I noticed alot of BC hydro brushing had been done - they clear the powerline out every few years.
I also noticed that someone replaced anchors at the base of wonderland and white rabbit and at the top of white rabbit. Trees have traditionally been used here and these anchors get chopped often.
Anyone want to place bets on how long these anchors will last?

Cool your jets Phil.tattooed_climber wrote:ok...I’m right p*ssed off now.....who's been taking the 'ol gas axe to ALL the trees in penny lane and at zombie roof.....lots of areas in the bluffs have been thinned out......the trails are great, but there is NO f*cking reason to start hacking trees..
Every few years BC Hydo has to come in to the Smoke Bluffs and hack down several acres worth of trees below their power lines. The same thing occurs in Murin Park.
The trees cut along the Smoke Bluff Wall and Penny Lane where all re-cut a few years back. It wasn't done by climbers, it was done by BC Hydo. Apparently they think that allowing trees to grow to such height that it would eventually touch/fall on their high voltage power line is a bad idea.
Who da' thunk it.
Besides, with those trees now gone the walls dry much faster.
WTF?
