about an hour (or so...) before the accident, a ?suitcase size? chunk fell off the sword pitch. i 'think' it is right where you start traversing back into the rf corner of that pitch. nobody was hurt [/miracle!!] my partner and i were on merci me during the rockfall and we were standing in a shower of kitty litter for what seemed like an eon. a Norwegian team in front of us was on the traverse to the base of hte pillar and if there were minutes faster they might've gotten creamed. there was also a bunch of people (including some of our friends) at the base of exasperator that all escaped unharmed. a sleeping dog was the closest to getting hit... ~ 5ft.

the rockfall was 100% unrelated to the accident...

A little bit more info on this unfortunate accident. Sounds like Optimally-Primed had the right idea.
