West Kootenays Rock Climbers Guide
For the last year local Kootenay climbers Aaron Kristiansen and Neil Ives have been busy compiling, collecting and writing a new rock climbers guide for the West Kootenays. The book is expected to be on the shelves in the spring of 2009. The scope of this guide will include all of the crags and day access climbing areas found in and around Castlegar, Nelson, Trail, Kaslo, Slocan City, Rossland as well as all the climbing areas found in the Koch Creek drainage, Mt. Gimli and others.

Aaron and Neil have been working hard at seeing this guide completed but their best efforts will not be enough without the help of other climbers like you.
If you are a route developer and wish to see your efforts published in our guide please send the beta our way so it can be included in the guide.
Also, besides route information Aaron and Neil are also looking for photographs to include in the guide. The problem isn't that they don't have quality photos to include. The problem is that the photos they have are mostly of their personal friends. Their hope is that the photos in this guide will be a representation of the greater climbing community and not just a collection of pics of their climbing buddies. So if you have any to share please send them their way.
