SQUMF 2008 - Call for Entries
Hello Filmmaker,
I would like to invite you to submit your films to this summer’s Squamish Mountain Festival presented by Arc’teryx.
Share your adventures, tell your stories, send your films to Squamish for the biggest festival of its kind in Canada.
The vision of the Squamish Mountain Festival, SQUMF 2008, is to provide a grass-roots gathering to celebrate the magic of Squamish climbing, bouldering and mountain culture.
The event will highlight Squamish and climbing within the context of clinics, speakers, competitions, international adventure films, volunteer trail maintenance days, and of course, huuuuge raging parties.
Why submit your film to this festival?
o This quickly becoming the best climbing festival in Canada.
o We have over $2000 in cash and gear prizes in categories for best mountain adventure film, best mountain culture film, best Canadian film, best short film and best film overall.
o The festival takes place in the heart of Canadian climbing during the peak of the rock-climbing season, this means we have very appreciative audiences.
o The opportunity to network with other filmmakers
Full film submission guidelines and entry forms can be found at http://www.squamishmountainfestival.com
Entry deadline is May 15, 2008
