I appologize in advanced if you are reading this, but I found it quite odd...
We were in the smoke bluffs parking lot having lunch. There was a pair of climbing shoes sitting on the other table. Guy with his girl/friend walks up, asks if they are ours, we respond that they are not. He gets his friend to try them on, they fit, so he takes them for her, and drives off...
Does anyone else find that slightly odd?

Cam, did u get a chance to glance at their licence plate?? were they locals (meaning BC)??
not that it really matters i guess, but it doesn't seen like something a local would do! i've heard of americans stealing racks of cams around the chief area, and fleeing to the Motherland in their POS cars, never to been seen again!!
cheers

I've seen shoes left there for the taking before more than once but usually there is a "free" sign ... could there have been one you didn't see? perhaps they took it away in hopes the shoes would still be there when the friend who needed a pair was with them?

No, I didn't say anything, was kinda shocked and/or appalled.
Yes, it was a BC plate, on an F250 or similar, maybe 1992 ish?
