Hold markings

Post by mr_staggerlee » Tue Apr 13, 2004 5:44 am

At the Crest I noticed lots of chalk marks on holds all the way up the climbs (not hand prints, but definite ticks).

Are these the result of the route-setting?
If so, fine.

Or, is there some rogue gym climber ticking all the holds as they go up?
Annoying for sure.

Perhaps a good rain will solve the problem.

Beleive it or not: when I climbed Banna Peel someone ticked the holds with big fat arrows. Felt like climbing at the gym. I didn't care; however, it occured to me that eventually someone may permanently start tagging holds--I hope that day never comes.
