Heading up and down to Quesnel this summer (from whistler). Has anyone climbed at marble canyon? Is it good, chossy, or best forgotten? Where can I find route information. Also any knowledge of any other good climbing areas on that drive.

Marble Canyon

The Central BC Rock guidebook has route information for Marble Canyon. I climbed Brown Sugar and the 11b variation to Sisyphus last year at about this time. There is a fair bit of loose rock around so be prepared for that but the climbing is decent and it's a beautiful place.

If you're up for it get on the Yellow Brick Road...17 pitches 5.10d A0. My partner's friend broke both his ankles on this route a few years before so we were a bit spooked to get on it but it looks fun.
