Habrich Approach (again)
Just wondering what the current status on the road is these days..... Can you drive all the way up to the trailhead, or is there a gate or boulder blockade now?
Couldn't find the other thread.
Info would be very helpful.

Re: Habrich Approach (again)
There is a gate located at the memorial plaque.
It will likely be locked on the weekend and may or may not be locked mid-week.
Bring a bike to shave at least 45 mins off the approach (from the gate) and quite a bit more time off the descent. I am guessing that it would take about 2.5hrs from the gate to the base of Habrich (sans bike). The gate was open when I went up earlier this year.

and to add to the comment above....
We were up there to do Sky Pilot last month and the road up to the locked gate was in better shape than we've seen it in other years. That said, we were happy to have 4wd and some high clearance but many of the big water bars have seemed to have flattened out from previous years.
