Visiting Aussies
Hey Everyone,
My girlfriend and I are heading over to Squamish on the 2nd July. Plan to pick up a cheap minivan before heading up to Squamish for around a month before heading east and then south into the USA.
Couple of questions:
We will need to pick up a few bits of climbing gear (new rope, new shoes and a couple of extra cams) when we arrive. Also will need to pickup a bit of extra camping/cooking gear as well. Where would u suggest for this stuff, around Vancouver or in Squamish?
Secondly, we are both keen mountain bikers as well. We have decided not to bring our own bikes and hopefully plan to pick up a couple of quality second hand cross country bikes. Any suggestions on where to look when we arrive?
Any other info worth sharing regarding spending a decent amount of time in Squamish would be well appreciated.
Cheers
Jason

Re: Visiting Aussies
Mec in Vancouver has good prices for gear. Valhalla in Squamish is another good place with good selection.
For bikes, try Craigslist or pinkbike. Rentals are available in Squamish and may be a good way to go.
