Gondola Meeting Tonight

Post by jugchick » Tue Sep 28, 2004 7:49 am

There is a town council meeting at Brennan Park Recreation Centre starting at 7 p.m Sept 28th to discuss the Gondola proposal up the Chief. It sounds like it will be just an information meeting and Council will not be voting on anything at this time.

Hello

Would it be possible for some of the information and decisions made during the meeting to be posted on here?

I hope the companies involved are thinking about the full implications of the gondola.

I agree with embers. I wasn't able to make it to the meeting, is there someone willing to post up the results or minutes?

Council voted to possibly allow further discussion of a gondola in the area (which could still include the park) but not to the top of any of the Chief's 3 summits. This echoed the sentiments of the Squamish First Nations group who saw the proponents proposal before it went to council.
Overall it was a pretty quick meeting - all said and done in just under an hour.

On a more serious note:

Does anyone know directions to the Chief sandbox?
Will there be a topo available to download?
Can I chip there?
Please?

That last paragraph is awesome!
I'd like to thank Strongbad for pointing that out to me, but I'd especially like to thank myself for finding it amusing.
