If you've ever climbed in Powell River you've probably climbed one of CAD's routes. This guy was the real deal.

I traded a bunch of emails with him and now I regret not ever getting to meet him in person.

Very sad news indeed. Colin was a long time Director with the Access Society and prominent developer in the Eldrid. Condolences to his family and partner Christy.

Horrible news for BC's and the Sunshine Coast's climbing community. Colin was the climbing driving force in that area. When I went up there to check things out he was so excited to show the Eldred and other areas there. My condolences to his family.
