North Van / West Van climbs
Re: North Van / West Van climbs
You misunderstood completely.
The traffic at Sully's is completely normal for a crag that is within city limits. It is a 15-20 minute drive for most people who're close to the highway.
Being 'adventurous' has no bearing on a crag that is so close to the city. If you want less people, you need to get out of the city.

Nope, I understand completely, and you're still wrong.
Re: North Van / West Van climbs
There are crags/routes that close to the city that are less busy, but they are the ones with no Internet details and no guidebook details. Some of their names appear earlier in this thread.

Guidebook, no. Internet, a bit. And some of the time, you just get lucky.Dru wrote:There are crags/routes that close to the city that are less busy, but they are the ones with no Internet details and no guidebook details. Some of their names appear earlier in this thread.

I was up yesterday afternoon (Sunday, blue sky, hot) and there was only one party taking turns climbing a single route.ras wrote:I was there on the saturday of the July long weekend - ours was the only party there.timelessbeing wrote:I've been there and it's pretty busy.

That's because people go to Squamish on weekends. What about weekday afternoons?jipstyle wrote:I was up yesterday afternoon (Sunday, blue sky, hot) and there was only one party taking turns climbing a single route.ras wrote:I was there on the saturday of the July long weekend - ours was the only party there.timelessbeing wrote:I've been there and it's pretty busy.

No idea .. I'm at work on weekday afternoons.
Weekday evenings, I've never had trouble getting on a route or three.
