Damn it. Mine falls within the recall batch.

I've emailed them .. will see what they do for me. I bought the grigri for my gf who has tendonitis and feels more comfortable belaying with an auto-locking device ... the fact that she doesn't have to hold me while I'm working a route means that she can belay for hours instead of minutes.
