red rock cracks

Post by Tenn » Fri Oct 15, 2010 9:03 am

Headed down there for a bit. Have been before but didn't climb a tonne of the longer routes - some of which have some pretty real crack climbing. Is taping a requirement on this type of sandstone? I never do here in Squamish.

Anybody got any good taping methods? Route recommendations?

If you don't tape here, then you definitely won't need to there. The rock is softer and less crystally. The cracks are typically pretty broken and varied. Have fun. Don't let the ring road get to you.

Defs try "fiddler on the roof" and for shorter stuff, the fox, and red zinger.
