LIFE ON EARTH?!

anyone know if Life On Earth (Mt Habrich) is doable this time of year as an all-rock climb? Or is it still wet/icy/snow covered?

i would REALLY appreciate any beta, thanks! Jesse

faces south so I'd put my money on it being in good shape.

Second hand information says the face is dry, but you will be kicking steps to the base. Apparently still around 5-6 meters of snow on the ground there.

Maybe bring an axe to get to the base as its steep slopes below it.

Snow free to probably halfway up the access trail from the old road. Old road itself totally snow free.

what's the story with the two domes flanking O'l Habrich? Seen any action?

Not that I know of. The one on the left (west) is pretty low angle and brushy. One on the right (east) is much more promising, prob. 5-6 pitches of technical.

Has very interesting featured rock with lots of pockets and vertical water channels, which you can see if you squint close at the photo.

Heinous access though.

There's some interesting unclimberd terrain right of The Nose on Habrich, too.
